We're delighted that you are interested in volunteering your time to bring smiles to the children at Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times. The single most important element to the success of our program is our volunteer staff. The enthusiasm, creativity, energy, and generosity provided by our staff have given our campers wonderful times and cherished memories.

Our Volunteer Summer Camp dates for 2008 are:

June 23 - July 1 Patients & Siblings ages 9 - 15
July 6 - 14 Patients & Siblings ages 9 - 18
July 18 - 26 Patients & Siblings ages 9 - 18
July 31 - August 8 Patients & Siblings ages 9 - 18
August 12 - 20 Patients & Siblings ages 9 - 18
August 24 - September 1 Patients & Siblings ages 9 - 15

We ask volunteers to commit for one nine-day session. Each session includes two days of on-site staff training and orientation. 

All sessions take place at Apple Canyon Center, the home of Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times, located in the pine-filled mountains just west of Palm Springs, California.  

Applicants accepted for a summer position should be aware of these important additional dates:

New Counselor Orientation (Required)

(New staff members are required to attend a one day orientation at either our Los Angeles office or on site prior to their session.)

  5. All applications will be reviewed and eligible applicants will be contacted for an in-person interview.
  6. All applicants will be required to secure three references and consent to a background check as part of the screening process.
