Building a future for children

Remaining true to our commitment of providing high-quality support programs serving children with cancer and their families on a year-round basis, Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times® has committed itself to a complete a reconstruction and renovation project of our 60 acre Camp Facility. In 1994, we purchased our current site in Mountain Center, California, which was originally built in the 1940’s and was known as Camp Roosevelt. Not only have the years taken a toll on the facility, but we must update our Camp to ensure that all campers–even those with vision and mobility issues–can have full access to all the Camp’s activities and facilities.

The new campus will include updating and expanding our current fire suppression and site utilities, construction of a new dining and assembly hall, additional cabins, larger and better-equipped bathrooms, year-round meeting spaces, facility renovations, as well as relocating some of our existing activity sites. At the completion of the project, the facility will serve up to 282 campers per session.

We need a total of $20,000,000 in order to complete this major project and to be able to support our year-round programs for children with cancer and their families. Camp has already secured approximately $4,400,000 towards this commitment. Currently, we are working with the County of Riverside to secure the proper and necessary permits in order to begin building the new utility and fire suppression infrastructure. The links on the right will give a glimpse of what the future holds for Camp. We are excited about building a state-of-the-art facility, and we hope you will join us in this effort.
